The Milwaukee Bucks came from behind in the 2021 Finals and after beating the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 105-98 on Tuesday, they were proclaimed NBA champions again after 50 years.
The most recent time the Bucks enjoyed the honeys of an Association championship was in 1971 by legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson.
Now the story was written by Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, who were the main architects of the return of the Bucks, who after being down 2-0 in the Finals, rallied to leave them 4-2 in their favor.
In Game 6, ‘The Greek Freak’ again had a night to reaffirm his status as a favorite to win the Finals MVP, as he achieved his 12th game in these Playoffs with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds. It led him to match Elgin Baylor for second with similar numbers in a single postseason in NBA history.
Giannis dominated the night with 50 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks.
The party was total, as 65 fans gathered outside Fiserv Forum to cheer on their team at the possibility of finishing the series at home and avoiding Game 7 in the Suns arena.
