With Alun Wyn Jones, the British & Irish Lions confirmed their formation to face South Africa

On Saturday at 1 p.m. (Argentine time), the British & Irish Lions will visit in Cape Town to the Springboks in the first test of the great trilogy. Warren Gatland confirmed the training for said meeting in South Africa.

The most important novelty that refers to the British Irish team is the presence of the great captain and second row Alun Wyn Jones. After a shoulder injury in the friendly against Japan, the Welsh forward recovered and added a few minutes in last weekend’s win over Stormers.

On the other hand, in forwards Luke Cowan-Dickie and Jack Conan beat Jamie George and Taulupe Faletau. On the backs side, the absence among the 23 of the great Louis Rees Zammit is surprising. And Robie Henshaw will share center court with Elliott Daly.

Training:

British & Irish Lions: 15 Stuart Hogg, 14 Anthony Watson, 13 Elliot Daly, 12 Robbie Henshaw, 11 Duhan van der Merwe, 10 Dan Biggar, 9 Ali Price, 8 Jack Conan, 7 Tom Curry, 6 Courtney Lawes, 5 Alun Wyn Jones (c), 4 Maro Itoje, 3 Tadhg Furlong, 2 Luke Cowan-Dickie, 1 Wyn Jones

Substitutes: 16 Ken Owens, 17 Rory Sutherland, 18 Kyle Sinckler, 19 Tadhg Beirne, 20 Hamish Watson, 21 Conor Murray, 22 Owen Farrell, 23 years Liam Williams
