(EFE) – Rosario Central eliminated the Venezuelan Deportivo Táchira after beating him 1-0 with a goal by Emiliano Vecchio and reached the quarterfinals of the Copa Sudamericana where he met with the Brazilian Bragantino.
The 2-2 achieved in Venezuela allowed the Argentine club to bet on control and tranquility to defeat Juan Tolisano’s men who held out well.
But, at the end of the first stage, in the 41st minute, Emiliano Vecchio scored the only goal of the match.
After a pass from Luciano Ferreyra, Vecchio dived at full speed and defined with a shot from the left side.
The match had options for both in the second half but the Rosario players knew how to defend the advantage well until the 90th minute when the Uruguayan referee Daniel Fedorczuk whistled the end of the match.
Rosario Central will be measured in the quarterfinals of the Copa Sudamericana with the Brazilian Bragantino who has just eliminated the Ecuadorian Independiente del Valle.
