Davie Rennie confirmed the Wallabies roster to face the Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship, but the list of 42 players could be added Quade Cooper as possible reinforcement.
According to different Australian media, the coach would call the multifunctional back to accompany the selected Aussie to New Zealand and be available if needed. Cooper, 33, has 70 tests with the yellow shirt and he’s coming off a low intensity season in the Japanese league.
Absent from the Wallabies since 2017 and considering that James O’Connor is not yet recovered of her tear, Quade’s presence could prove to be a solution should Rennie require it.
With the uncertainty that the dates and locations of the Bledisloe Cup have not yet been confirmed, Australia has already defined its roster and hopes to add one of the most talented players in recent times. A new edition of a tournament that has not been able to win for more than 19 years.
