Outstanding performance by Gabriela Rodríguez
Rodriguez finished in 12th place in the final of Skeet’s sport shooting event and was out of a chance to fight for a medal. However, Gabriela made history by being the first representative in Mexico in this modality since 1988 and by signing the best performance of a Mexican athlete in sports shooting.
Fourth place on a 10m platform
The Mexican duo made up of José Balleza and Kevin Berlin finished in fourth position in the 10-meter platform Final. Balleza and Berlin finished the test with 407.31 points.
Lino falls in the first round.
Lino Muñoz failed to advance in the fight for a place on the podium when he fell to Guatemalan Kevin Cordon 21-14 and 21-12 in his second group stage match. Muñoz claims to be the only Aztec badminton player to have participated in two Olympic Games.
Ulloa debuts in mountain biking.
Gerardo Ulloa finished in 23rd position in the Cross Country mountain biking event. The Aztec had a good performance although he was almost six minutes behind the Englishman, Thomas Pidcock, who finished in first place.
Ignacio Berenguer and Demita Vega De Lille have 109 and 94 units, respectively, in tablavela after two days of activities and six regattas. For her part, Elena Oetling, in the Radial Laser mode, boasts 71 points after four races.
