Dominican Republic agenda for July 28 at the Olympic Games

ESPN Digital brings you the agenda of Dominican athletes for the sixth day of activities of the Olympic Games, with boxing and women’s volleyball with the Queens of the Caribbean

The Dominican Republic opens its participation in the day of Wednesday, July 28 with the Dominican boxer Alexy de la Cruz who seeks to continue advancing after winning his first fight against Kevin Guy Allicock whom he defeated by unanimous decision in the round of 32.

In the eighths, his rival will be 23-year-old Albert Batyrgaziev, who represents the ROC (Russian Olympic Committee) in the 52-57 kg category with the fight scheduled at 6:20 in the morning.

The day is completed at night in the Dominican Republic with the third game of the Queens of the caribbean at 10:05 pm against South Korea. The Queens have been defeated in their opening match against Serbia and then against Brazil in five sets, classified as one of the best matches that have been experienced in the Olympic tournament so far.

The Dominican participation closes at 10:25 at night with boxing in the 69-75 kilos category with Euri Cedeño who has been one of the great revelations of the ring.

Cedeño faces the Argentine Francisco Daniel Verón. Euri defeated Venezuelan Eldric Sella, who fought representing the refugee committee, by a knockout decreed by the referee when he saw that the South American could not continue with more than a minute remaining in the first round.
