Carlos Ortiz finished in third place prior to the last stage of the tournament in Tokyo 2020 and hopes to take home a medal
Mexican golfer Carlos Ortiz assured that he will fight to the maximum to get a medal, after finishing in the number three position of the third round of the tournament in Tokyo 2020.
“We are grateful for all the support and follow us tomorrow, we will give everything to see if we can get a medal, thank you for all your support,” he said through a video posted on social networks.
Carlos Ortiz was satisfied with the position obtained, after the activity of this day within the fair and highlighted the performance of also Mexican Abraham Áncer.
“We are happy, we are in a good position, we are in a good place for tomorrow, Abraham as always playing great golf, entering the tournament back,” he said.
The golfer culminated with a -12 blade, so he is now one of the favorites to get on the podium and will seek to ratify it this Sunday with an Olympic medal.
Carlos Ortiz is tied with Britain’s Paul Casey and both are overtaken by American Xander Schauffele, who is at the top with -14, and by Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama, who is -13.
