The blow that Pablo Carreño Busta gave against Novak Djokovic in Tokyo 2020 was the trigger for the Serbian to return from the Olympic Games without medals. After the triumph, Rafael Nadal, from one Spaniard to another Spaniard, congratulated his compatriot on the achievement.
“Great, Pablo! What joy! Congratulations!”, wrote the No. 3 in the world in a story on his Instagram account.
While preparing for his debut in the ATP 500 in Washington, Nadal and Carreño Busta celebrated another achievement for his country, nothing more and nothing less than 13th Spanish medal in tennis in the history of the Olympic Games.
