Joe joyce revealed the plan he would use to defeat Anthony Joshua in 2022, should he step into the ring as the mandatory challenger of the OMB.
“There are always two halves in a fight and he is sure it will be a long one,” he said. Joyce to Sky Sports. “I can lead him to drown in deep water towards the end of the fight.”
Joyce, 1.97 meters tall, comes from beating the French Carlos Takam by knockout in the sixth episode on July 24 and has the belts of AJ to reach heavyweight glory.
However, the Englishman believes that the constant exchanges he makes in the ring would put the current champion in danger.
“Obviously I would not like to go into very long exchanges with him, because he is a very risky fighter when he is pushing forward,” he considered. “I am not going to want to get caught up in them and I have to work in a more tactical way on my fight plan. I tend to trade a lot of punches and if he’s going to shoot with power, there will be risky exchanges on both corners. I’m sure I can hit him really hard too ”.
Despite the spirit of Joyce, Anthony Joshua might not have it in mind for a fight, as the main focus of AJ is in unification with Tyson fury which could also lead to the original deal in which two fights were outlined.
A fall against Oleksandr Usyk or a defeat of Fury against Deontay Wilder in his next fight he could completely modify the plans at heavy weights and Joyce he could either have his chance within reach or see it dissolve quickly.
