Sprinter Karsten Warholm broke his own record to set a new one, 45.94, in the 400-meter hurdles event
JAPAN – The Norwegian athlete Karsten warholm he broke his world record for 400 meters hurdles with a time of 45.94 after a formidable duel with American Ray Benjamin, who finished second with 46.17.
Warholm he had the previous record at 46.70, a mark set last July 1 at the Bislett Games in Oslo.
The bronze medal went to Brazilian Alison dos Santos, who broke her South American record with 46.72.
