Argentine Rubén Rézola was left out of the final of the K1 200-meter test at the Tokyo Olympics by finishing seventh in his series in the semifinals disputed this Thursday in the Sea Forest channel of the Japanese capital.
Rézola signed a time of 36,552 seconds, 1,438 behind the seeded Hungarian Sándor Tótka (35,114).
The other three places in the final in dispute in his semifinal went to the Italian Manfredi Rizza and the Spanish Saúl Craviotto and Carlos Arévalo.
BRENDA ROJAS NEITHER COULD ADVANCE TO THE FINAL
Argentine paddler Brenda Rojas finished eighth in her K1 500m semi-final series at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, running out of medal options nor to dispute any of the finals of the competition.
Rojas signed a clock of 1: 58.301, 6.621 seconds behind the seeded New Zealander Lisa Carrington (1: 51.680), which already hung the gold in the K1 200 last Tuesday.
The second place for the final with medal options in this series of the category went to the also New Zealand Alyce Burnett.
