Coach expelled for hitting horse in modern pentathlon

Germany’s Kim Raisner received black card for punching Saint Boy after refusing to jump in women’s competition

The International Union of Modern Pentathlon (UIPM) has disqualified with black card to the german coach Kim raisner for the remainder of the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020 by hit a horse during the women’s modern pentathlon competition.

The Executive Committee of the UIPM verified through the video that Rainer hit with the fist to the horse Saint Boy, ridden by the German Annika schleu.

“Your action is considered a violation of the competition rules of the UIPM applicable in all competitions recognized by the organization, including Olympic Games“, explains the Union in a statement.

During the women’s final on Friday, Schleu He was leading the modern pentathlon before the equestrian event, but lost all his options due to refusal of his horse Saint Boy.

The horse refused to jump despite the pat on the rump from the rider and, at a time when the equine approached the fence that surrounds the track, the coach gave him a punch that was recorded by the cameras.

When, finally, the equestrian test could begin, Schleu fell to the ground when he stopped his horse, refusing to jump an obstacle, and finished in position 31 of the definitive classification.
