The Cerúndolo brothers made history on the Challenger circuit

Argentines Francisco (111 °) and Juan Manuel Cerúndolo (148 °) have each won a Challenger title in singles in 2021 and became the sixth pair of brothers to achieve this mark within the same season.

This Sunday at Cordenons Francisco (23 years old), the oldest of them, got his fourth coronation and first of the year in the category. In this way he joined Juan Manuel (19), who had premiered his record in Rome at the beginning of May.

In 2018, the Dutch brothers Tallon and Scot Grieskpoor were the last to achieve this milestone., only one year after the Austrians Gerard and Jurgen Melzer (2017).

The rest of the list, going back several years in time, make it up the Belgians Olivier and Christophe Rochus in 2005, the Ecuadorians Giovanni and Nicolás Lapentti in 2004 and, finally, the New Zealanders Jeff and Rusell Simpson in 1982.
