Cristian Garin debuted with defeat in Toronto

Cristian Garin (20th), thirteenth best seeded in the competition, debuted with a loss to the experienced American John Isner (30th), at the Masters 1000 in Toronto.

The one born in Santiago 25 years ago, a pupil of former Argentine tennis player Franco Davin, started better and took the first set 6-4. However, the semifinalist in the 2012 edition, recovered, in his law, and matched the actions to pure serve with a 6-3. For the third, a single break was enough for the recent champion in Atlanta to seal it 6-4.

It was his first victory against the Chilean (1-2) while waiting for a tough rival who will come out of the duel between Fabio Fognini and Andrey Rublev.

In addition, Lloyd Harris (who was supposed to play Rafael Nadal) swept Feliciano López. The 6-2 and 6-3 in just over an hour speaks for itself.
