TJ Perenara wore the All Blacks jersey again

TJ Perenara wore the shirt of the All blacks after 259 days when his last game had been in the victory against the Cougars 38-0.

The scrum half had emigrated to Japanese rugby and played for NTT DoCoMo Red Hurricanes in the Top League and was unable to be present at Super Rugby.

Perenara was not selected for the window games in July. However, the illusion appeared when it was known that Finlay Christie would not be available, due to an injury, for the first date of the Rugby Championship.

Perenara has a contract with the New Zealand Rugby Union until the 2023 World Cup. Despite this, his place is not assured in the All Blacks roster and he will have to show a solid performance in the Championship to regain his position. Meanwhile, Aaron Smith is the starting scrum half of the team led by Ian Foster.
