The son of a historic footballer affirms himself as an Argentine promise

Román Burruchaga, son of Jorge (world champion in Mexico 1986), earned his first professional title at age 19 in Gydnia’s M15 (brick dust) and will enter the Top 700 of the ranking.

From qualifying, the Argentine lifted the trophy after beating Canadian Filip Peliwo (411 °, Canada) by 6-7, 7-6 and 6-1 in 3 hours and 9 minutes of play. Born in 2002, he was among the best 20 in the junior world and is on the rise in the professional circuit.

“Burru” continues the family tradition in sports: sHis father was champion of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico scoring the decisive goal and his brother, Mauro, also works as a footballer in Uruguay.
