Sergio Rondina is no longer Arsenal manager

After the 2-1 defeat against Platense last Sunday, Sergio Rondina submitted his resignation and ceased to be the coach of Arsenal. In this way, the Egg ended his second cycle in the Sarandí group after more than three years in office.

Rondina closes this second stage at Arsenal having consecrated champion of the 2018/19 National B and with 105 games in his back. Of the total, he won 37, tied 32 and lost 36 (45.4% effective). This Tuesday, Julio Humberto Grondona will go to the stadium to say goodbye to the squad.

The bad results reaped in this League Tournament 2021 (one victory, two draws and three falls), precipitated his decision.

Rondina took over at Arsenal in January 2018, he could not avoid relegation but at the end of April 2019 he managed to return the team to the top flight. Under his leadership, the Viaducto team returned to play the Copa Sudamericana and qualified for the round of 16 where they were eliminated by Sporting Cristal de Peru in a tight series.
