The first date of the AFA First Division women's tournament was completed

On Saturday, August 14, the curtain rose on the women’s First Division tournament in Argentina. The new YPF Women’s Tournament 2021 will have the 19 teams (each date there will be one free) that played the Apertura Tournament, divided into the same two zones. Interzonal matches will not be played, so there will only be classics from the quarterfinals onwards.

In Zone A there will be: Boca, Defensores de Belgrano, Deportivo Español, El Porvenir, Gimnasia, Lanús, Racing, San Lorenzo and SAT.

Zone B is made up of: Communications, Students, Hikers, Huracán, Independiente, Platense, River, Rosario Central, UAI Urquiza and Villa San Carlos.

And although on the first date there were no surprises, there was a lot of action and goals to stand out, such as that of the defending champions, San Lorenzo, who did not give El Porvenir the slightest chance and ended up getting a categorical 8 to 2 in the on the way to the revalidation of the title they beat Boca in July.
