Women’s rugby Colombia celebrates the participation of The Toucans on Kenya. After defeating 16-15 in Nairobi the local team, the Colombian team agreed to the repechage to be played with three other countries that will define the classification for the world from New Zealand 2022.
Colombia dreams of the World Cup that the BlackFerns will host next year. The Toucans defeated Kenya agonizingly as visitors and secured a place in the playoffs that they will play with three other selected to define the qualifier for the big event in New Zealand.
Those selected to qualify for the World Cup are: New Zealand, South Africa, England, France, Wales, Canada, the United States, Australia and Fiji. Asia’s qualifiers and the winner of the playoffs where Colombia will participate have yet to be confirmed.
If they qualify, Las Tucanes will enter Group A with New Zealand, Australia and Wales.
