The Mexican weightlifter Amalia Pérez hung the gold medal in the final of up to 61 kg of parapowerlifting at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games after getting his third lift for 131 kilos.
This achievement means the fourth consecutive Paralympic title for Amalia Pérez, flag bearer of Mexico, who has won a medal in all the Paralympic Games since Sydney 2000 and this is the # 98 gold medal for Mexico in the history of the event.
