Chilean Gary Medel and Argentine Nicolás Domínguez, untouchable in the Bologna eleven, stopped Colombian Luis Muriel’s Atalanta this Saturday and left the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo with a valuable 0-0 draw on the second day of Serie A.
Medel, starter in the center of the defense, and Domínguez, already one of the leaders of the center of the field, supported the Bolonia of the Serbian Sinisa Mihajlovic, who has four points in two days, just like Atalanta.
The Bolognese team, which had beaten Salernitana 3-2 in its debut, suffered in the second half from Atalanta’s push, in which Argentine defender José Luis Palomino also started, but its defensive wall did not collapse.
Atalanta by Gian Piero Gasperini, who is still unable to count on the Colombian Duván Zapata, out at least until mid-September, had to settle for a draw without targets after starting the course with a 2-1 in the field of Torino, decided in the last gasp by Roberto Piccoli.
It was Bologna that came out the most satisfied with the result, after containing an Atalanta that had the best forward in Serie A in the last two seasons, with 90 and 98 goals, respectively.
