Mexican swimmer Jesús Hernández Hernández won the gold medal in the 150 meters individual medley this Saturday, class SM3, for the physically handicapped, on the fourth day of competition of the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
Hernandez, endorsed by the gold and the three silvers he achieved at the Para-Pan American Games in Lima in 2019, he successfully dominated a test in which he found no opposition from his rivals to record a time of 2: 56.99. In fact, the second classified, the Australian Ahmed Kelly, got 5.26 in goal, and his compatriot Grant Patterson 8.58.
The 29-year-old Mexican swimmer returns in Tokyo to get on a podium in a few Paralympic Games after the bronze medal achieved in Rio de Janeiro in the 50 meter backstroke S4.
In the same test disputed in Tokyo, the 150 meters individual medley, class SM3, two other Mexican swimmers, Diego López Díaz and Arnulfo Castorena, they achieved two diplomas at the end of fourth and fifth, respectively.
