On the fourth date of the URBA tournament for under 20s they saw the faces Newman and CUBA in Benavídez and it was a victory for those from Villa de Mayo by 43 to 10.
The idea of the University Club of Buenos Aires was clear, to play on the first channel attached to the formations and for the support to converge to be able to generate the chain of passes and score tries. This strategy paid off for the coaches offensively, as Newman left the post area unprotected. During the first half, the visitor was very effective and with the physical strength of his players managed to prevail in and go 31 to 3 up at halftime.
Starting the second half, CUBA was once again forceful and scored two tries to sentence the match. Despite the superiority in the game and on the scoreboard, Benavídez’s men did not lower their arms and kept looking for the try. It was thanks to the forwards grouping defenders and a handrail from their backs, which ended up generating superiority for the ends. Coming to the end of the game, by a series of penalties from the opponent, Newman found himself at the gates of the try, but a granite blue and black defense kept them out of the ingoal.
With this result, those from Villa de Mayo remain undefeated in the category and are emerging as the first in the group 2 zone B. On the other hand, Newman is still unable to win in this tournament and will seek to change his negative streak the following date.
