“I have never authorized prohibited substances to improve my performance, I have never done it and I will never do it,” said the Mexican. “I am very respectful of anti-doping tests from my time as an amateur, now as a professional and, since I have been a professional I have undergone more than 30 anti-doping tests, which is something like Team Valdez We ask and make sure that it is in the contract, that the tests of VADA and keep the sport clean and nobody has any advantage ”.
Valdez will be able to defend the 135-pound belt on September 10 against Robson Conceicao on Tucson, Arizona, after the Athletic Commission of the Yaqui Easter Tribe give the go-ahead.
