Bagnis earned a spot in the Indian Wells draw

A place was made. Facundo Bagnis, who reached the third round at the US Open, has good news because he won a place to play the Indian Wells Masters 1000, from October 7 to 17. The Argentine took advantage of one of the three vacancies left by the injured figures.

Bagnis is number 80 in the ATP world rankings, not counting his task in New York, since the contest will end next Sunday. And you can then participate next month in that M1000 suspended last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Argentine will perform in Indian Wells, as will the French Richard Gasquet (79th) and the Italian Marco Cecchinato (81st), thanks to the casualties due to physical problems of the Spanish Rafael Nadal (5th), the Austrian Dominic Thiem (6 °) and the Swiss Roger Federer (9th).

In Indian Wells, on Californian soil, Bagnis barely performed in 2017, when after overcoming his debut he lost to German Alexander Zverev.

Now the confirmations of the cited tickets were due to the absences of Nadal, Thiem and Federer, three figures who will not return to the circuit until 2022 and the public already misses them.
