Futsal: Argentina defeats Netherlands in first of two friendlies

Nine days before the World Cup debut against the United States, Argentina played the first of two friendlies against the Netherlands. He won 3-1, with goals from Alan Brandi, Constantino Vaporaki and Santiago Basile.

This time the coach Matías Lucuix had the almost complete squad at his disposal, unlike the triangular one in Spain and the friendly against Japan, where he had decided to preserve some players who were having minor discomforts, or some overload due to preparation and thus avoid injuries against the proximity of the World Cup event. The two who were left out on the list of 14 for this match were goalkeeper Nicolás Sarmiento (to give Lucas Farach minutes) and Sebastián Corso (recovering from a tear).

Argentina opened the account at the start of the game, after a timely recovery of the ball under pressure on the departure of the local team, with all the experience of Alan Brandi to provoke and take advantage of the error in the departure of the Netherlands.

In addition, the locals tied with a good combination play that culminated Soufian Charraoui, in a great definition. But right away, after a quick transition, Constantino Kiki Vaporaki again established differences, scoring second for Albiceleste.

The result was to be sealed with a goal that was stamped with the “Santiago Basile” stamp, a strong left-footed shot from outside the area, a ball that became invisible to goalkeepers.

The rematch will be on Tuesday, on the same stage, at 2:00 p.m. (Argentine time).

This is how the squad of 16 players that will represent Argentina in the 2021 World Cup in Lithuania was left, which begins on September 12.
