Both the South African Pieter-Steph du Toit, figure of the Springboks during the title at RWC 2019, as the second row of the All Blacks, Patrick Tuipulotu, have signed contracts with the Japanese team Toyota verblitz to join the Top league the next season.
The double signing was confirmed by the Japanese side as the team prepares for Japan Rugby League One, which begins in January next year.
While Du Toit is in full recovery from a shoulder injury, the Verblitz hopes point in the direction of seeing him play in 2022. The World Rugby Player of the Year in 2019 has been an outstanding performer in his last matches and, together with Tuipulotu, will undoubtedly reinforce the pack of the Japanese team. .
