Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of Mexico, reported that the proceeds of the National Lottery draw to be held on September 15 for Independence Day, will be to support the athletes who participated in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“This raffle is very important and I call on the entire population that can help by buying a piece, or two, or three, or whatever they want, because what we get in this raffle will be to help athletes. The resource obtained from the draw will be used to support those who participated in the Olympic Games, both in the first stage and in the Paralympics, ”the president reported in his conference on Tuesday morning.
Among the 22 properties that will be raffled off on September 15, through the National Lottery chips with a value of 250 pesos each, there is a box at the Azteca Stadium with space for up to 20 people.
“All athletes will receive support, encouragement and that resource will come out of this raffle, which is also very attractive for those who like football, who are many, millions, because a box is being raffled at the Azteca, among other things, goods. It serves a dual purpose. You contribute, you help to support our athletes, especially for the Paralympics, who did a job, represented us with great dignity in Tokyo and at the same time if you are lucky you can achieve one of these assets, which in addition to their material value, they have a special, historical value ”.
It should be remembered that the delegation that represented Mexico in the Paralympic Games returned with 22 medals, of which seven were gold, two silver and 13 bronze.and; while the athletes who attended the Olympic Games presented four medals, all of them bronze.
