Tomás Etcheverry and Juan Manuel Cerúndolo advance in Bosnia

The Argentine tennis players in the Challenger circuit does not stop even if we are in decisive instances of the US Open. This is the case of Tomás Etcheverry and Juan Manuel Cerúndolo, in this case in Banja Luka, Bosnia, reaching the quarterfinal stage.

Etcheverry, born in La Plata and ranked 142nd in the ATP world rankings, took two and a half hours to beat Serdarusic (247) 4-6, 7-6 (4) and 6-1.

The 22-year-old from La Plata, had surpassed Czech David Poljak (446) in the opening round and will play his next match against Marko Topo (1586).

Meanwhile, the youngest of the Cerúndolo (135) took advantage of the non-presentation of Matija Pecotic (346) and advanced without perspiring. The Chinese Chun Hsin Tseng (259) will be his rival in the Quarters.

The Argentine tennis players this year conquered 12 tournaments of the Challenger category, being the most fruitful of the circuit.
