Toros de Tijuana is facing the possibility of achieving a feat if they can overcome the series against Leones, who have a 3-0 advantage in the Serie del Rey
Yucatan is very close to becoming champion of the Mexican Baseball League after putting the King’s Series 3-0 in their favor but Tijuana fans maintain the illusion that their team can come back as the border team is one of the best visitors throughout the season.
With a score of 2-0, Leones won the third game of the series against the Bulls and they are just one game away from winning the title. However, Toros could bring the series back to Tijuana if he manages to win Games 4 and 5 of the King’s Series, a situation that looks complicated but is not impossible due to the numbers recorded by the northern squad away from home.
During the regular season, Toros positioned himself as the third best visitor in the Mexican Baseball League by winning 22 of the 32 games. In fact, Tijuana was the second team that won the most as a visitor, adding two wins less than Diablos Rojos del México, who finished the campaign with a mark of 24 wins and seven losses away from the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium.
Curiously, Bulls signed better performances as a visitor than playing at the Chevron Stadium. In the regular season, Toros took the victory in 18 of 33 games he played at home, four fewer than those he had outside of Tijuana.
In the Playoffs, Zone Series and Championship Series stages, Tijuana had a record of six victories and three defeats as a visitor, highlighting its performance in the Championship Series against Mariachis de Guadalajara.
Throughout the regular season, Mariachis finished as the best team in the Northern Division of the Mexican Baseball League both at home and on the road. The Guadalajara squad won 25 of the 33 matches they played at home while away from home they had a record of 21 wins and nine defeats. However, before Toros for the Champions Series, Mariachis lost all three of her matches that she played in front of her fans at the Pan-American Stadium.
In the first Playoff, Tijuana only won one game at the home of the Rieleros de Aguascalientes while against the Acereros de Monclova for the Zone Series they managed to win two away games and only lost one match.
On the other hand, Yucatán Lions did not have the best home performance during the regular season. The feline team lost 14 of the 19 home matches they played at the Kukulcán Alamo Park, while as a visitor they had a mark of 15 wins and 16 losses.
In the postseason, Yucatán won seven games at home and only lost two games. The hairy team showed their best level at home against Olmecas for the Zone Series by winning their three games with the support of their fans, while in the Championship Series they only lost one match against the Red Devils in the Kukulcán in exchange for two wins.
The fourth game of the Serie del Rey between Yucatán and Tijuana will be played this Friday at 6:00 p.m. in Mexico City.
What destiny has the king of sports in store for us for today, the celebration of a title or the penultimate game of 2021 in Kukulcán Park? 🏟⚾️🤔 pic.twitter.com/YaegZt56fq
