Chicago Cubs manager David Ross is set to join the team Sunday after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this month.
Bench coach Andy Green, who has been managing the team in Ross’s absence, told reporters Saturday about Ross’s pending return.
On September 3, the Cubs announced tryouts for Ross and president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer. Both men are vaccinated.
The Cubs are 5-2 in the absence of Ross, but they are 65-77 on the season.
