EAST RUTERFORD, NJ – Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy laid down the game against the New York Giants after suffering what the team called a low leg injury.
Jeudy suffered the injury on a third down and seven at the Giants’ 33-yard line with just under nine minutes to play in the third quarter.
Denver quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threw a pass to Jeudy on the left side of the field for a 20-yard reception, but when he was tackled from behind by Giants cornerback James Bradberry, the receiver’s right leg was caught between the defender. and the floor as they fell. Immediately, Jeudy grabbed his right ankle and the Broncos doctors rushed to treat him.
Jeudy, who was quickly put on the stretcher to be taken to the locker room, was the Broncos’ first-round pick in the 2020 draft and was projected to have a strong season in 2021.
When injured, Jeudy had six receptions for 72 yards.
