Browns vs. Chiefs - Game Report - September 12, 2021

KANSAS CITY (AP) – Patrick Mahomes threw for 337 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score and the Kansas city chiefs recovered from a terrible first half to beat this Sunday 33-29 at the Cleveland browns in a replay of the divisional round of the playoffs last January.

Tyreek Hill caught 11 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown and Travis Kelce had a pair of touchdown receptions, including the lead with 7:02 minutes to go for the Chiefs they will erase a 22-10 deficit at halftime.

This was the fifth consecutive win for the Chiefs Over the Browns, including a 22-17 postseason victory and his 15th consecutive victory in September. They also brought Andy Reid closer to a 100 win with two different franchises.

The Browns, for their part, are 1-21 in the first game of the season since returning to Cleveland in 1999 and extended their NFL record to 17 losses in a row. They haven’t won an opening game away from home since 1994.

Baker Mayfield passed for 321 yards, but was intercepted by Mike Hughes with 1:09 left to end any aspiration for a win. Nick Chubb rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns, while Kareem Hunt and Jarvis Landry also found the end zone on the ground.
