The Indianapolis Colts and the corridor Nyheim hines they agreed on a contract extension for three years until 2024their agents Ed Wasielewski and Jeremy Appledorf of EMG Sports told ESPN.
The contract carries an average value of 6.2 million dollars, making Hines in one of the 10 highest paid running backs in the NFL, earning the most money per year among non-top brokers.
The Colts announced that they had signed Hines with an extension this Saturday, but they did not give details.
Hines he has 170 receptions during his first three seasons, the sixth-most of all running backs in that span. He also averages 14.9 yards per punt return, which would rank him No. 1 in NFL history.
Hines becomes the third member of the 2018 draft class of the Colts earning an extension this offseason, joining linebacker Darius Leonard and offensive tackle Braden Smith.
This class also includes All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson, who will likely sign a record-breaking agreement between guards when a contract extension is finalized with the Colts.
