Los Tigres del Licey will go out in search of their 22nd crown in Dominican winter baseball, trying to break the tie with the current champions, Águilas Cibaeñas

A new era has arrived for Tigres del Licey, who will seek to take a new winning course and leave behind four years of “drought”. In this regard, the new general manager of the team spoke, Carlos Jose Lugo, who detailed some of the preparations for next season, including names of players with whom he will start the year and the start date of preseason training.

As for players, Lugo hopes to have an important nucleus of veterans who have already gathered in the Dominican ball, such as the brothers Emilio and Jorge Bonifacio, as well as Cesar Valdez, who was released by Baltimore Orioles several weeks ago. Other well-known names that the manager mentioned were Hanley ramirez and Nomar mazara, with whom he has already had conversations and although he does not expect them to join the first day of the season, he understands that it will not be long before they join the team if they decide to do so.
