Ugas, promoted by the WBA

Yordenis ugas was promoted as the regular champion of the AMB earlier this year, after the agency decided to strip the belt from Manny pacquiao.

The Filipino became the 147-pound monarch in 2019 by defeating by split decision Keith Thurman. But since he was inactive for more than two years, the championship was taken away from him.

The AMB argued that since he was inactive for a long time, he decided to promote Yordenis.

This upset Pacquiao and his team, because they considered that the organization did not take into account the pandemic or his political office.
