Great Argentine triumph in the Challenger of Quito. The Buenos Aires Facundo Mena (322 °) beat French Alexis Gautier (444 °) and he got into the grand final of the Ecuadorian contest.
The final score was 6-2, 4-6 and 6-2 in favor of the Argentine. Thanks to this triumph, he qualified for his first final so far this year. The only one he played in his career was in 2019, in Como (he beat Andrej Martin).
His rival for the trophy will be the Chilean Gonzalo Lama, located at position 417. For the trans-Andean it will be his first Challenger final in five years. The last he played was in Sao Paulo 2016 when he beat the American Ernesto Escobedo and won the trophy.
