Davis Cup: Argentina plays in doubles a key point against Belarus

The beginning was not the dream, but Argentina is still hopeful. Máximo González and Horacio Zeballos equal 1-1 in sets in the doubles match against youngsters Daniil Ostapenkov and Erik Arutiunian for World Group I of the Davis Cup.

The first set was for the Belarusians 7-5: they played with solvency, capitalized on the opportunities they had and put the Argentines in check.

But already in the second set, Zeballos and González’s experience came to the fore. After a 6-2, they leveled the game and they maintain Argentina with the expectation of being in favor in the series.

At the last minute, Belarusian team captain Aleksandr Vasilevski had made the decision to put the youth on court aged 18 and 16, respectively, and not Alexander Zgirovsky (1222 °) and Martin Borisiouk (949 °), as planned.

Then, the series will be defined with the singles, which will have Schwartzman as the first protagonist.
