At the end of the day, two more places for the South Americans in the quarterfinals: Matias Zukas (522 °), who comes from qualifying, defeated the Bosnian Nerman Fatic (317 °) by 7-5, 2-1 and abandoned, while the Peruvian Olympian Juan Pablo Varillas (121st and top seed) defeated Albiceleste Genaro Olivieri (334 °) by 6-1 and 6-4.
The Ambato Challenger, on a brick dust surface, distributes prizes for $ 52,080. It should be noted that after these two Challengers for Ecuador (title of Facundo Mena in Quito), the tour will continue for Peru, Chile, Argentina and Colombia.
