NFL will have a Wild Card Round game on Monday night

The first round of the playoffs will be played in three days for the first time in history starting this season.

The NFL is extending the weekend of the Wild Card Round after the league announced on Friday that one of its six first-round games of playoffs the Monday, January 17.

The calendar for the weekend of the Wild Card Round now will have two games on Saturday, three on Sunday and one on Monday. It was not announced which network will broadcast each game, although CBS and NBC will have two games that weekend while ESPN and Fox will have one game each.

The playoffs In 2020 they had 14 teams for the first time in history and only the No. 1 seed from each conference received a bye week for the Divisional Round.
