GLOUCESTER RUGBY 26 – 33 LEICESTER TIGERS (Friday)
In the only game of the day, Leicester managed to take the away game against Gloucester 33-26. The Tigers took the initiative and with two penalties converted by George Ford opened the scoring on Friday afternoon. Harry Wells’s try a few minutes later began to put the match on track, but the local team reacted quickly and, thanks to Fraser Balmain, they scored the first try. What remained of the game was a string of tries for both teams, but first-half penalties by the Tigers made the difference to win the game.
