Argentine Paulo Dybala retired in tears from the match in which Juventus beat Sampdoria 3-2.
Dybala, who had scored the 1-0 goal at 10 minutes, noticed some discomfort at 22 minutes and immediately asked coach Massimiliano Allegri for the change.
He left the pitch crying, although walking without the help of doctors, and was replaced by the Swede Dejan Kulusevski.
La “Joya”, who was only able to play twenty games last year due to a series of injuries, had scored his second goal of the season, after the first match against Udinese.
The Argentine was injured three days before the Champions League match against Chelsea, current European champions.
