Santiago Silva announced on his social networks that he has a return date to professional football: on October 11 he will be able to start training and on December 11 he will be able to play in any team.
The forward had been suspended for two years in 2020 for a positive doping due to a treatment that he performed with his partner to be able to have children. El Tanque was authorized by the AFA Disciplinary Court to return to playing football professionally, but it was a “lack of alarm”, as he explained.
In his Instagram account he detailed: “I am still disabled from playing football, at no time was I enabled. There was a false alarm when AFA wanted to enable me, but the anti-doping body did not. Today I already have a date that was requested by me because I needed power managing my times. For me it is extremely important after waiting for so long: it is December 11, 2021 to be able to play in any team. On October 11 I will be able to train with any team to get in shape, which I already am you can imagine with my desire and I was able to maintain my discipline “.
In addition, the gunner said: “It has been a long time, my last match was on March 16, 2021 playing for Argentinos against Lanús, that match gave us the qualification to be in the Libertadores. After having experienced so many negative things, I transformed positively. You can imagine the desire I have and how I supported myself all this time, training every day to be able to finish my career “.
And he added: “It has been a long time for me to transmit the ‘yes you can’ outside the field and not inside. Those who know me know that I have had to experience wonderful and not so good things. Here I am, more current than ever. Later I will have to show it, which is what I like the most. I like that demand … that pressure. I am happy, very balanced, and I want to continue to spread that you have to fight for what you want. “
