On ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” broadcast by the Manning brothers, LeBron James confirmed that the Cowboys and Seahawks offered him the opportunity to play in 2011.

During the second quarter of “Monday Night Football” by ESPN between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas cowboys at AT&T Stadium, to close Week 3 of the regular season, in the transmission of the brothers Peyton and Eli manning they had as a special guest the superstar of the NBA, Lebron James, current leader of Los angeles lakers.

Eli manning, champion of Super bowl with the New York Giants, he recalled that during high school Lebron James He had an outstanding football career and asked, “… Jerry jones actually offered you a contract and play for the Cowboys, I think in 2011 during the strike of the NBA. Were you tempted to put on your uniform and play for the Cowboys? ”.

“It is true,” he replied. James. “Jerry jones offered me a contract, too Pete Carroll on Seattle during the strike ”, thus confirming that the Seahawks they tempted Lebron to go to NFL.

“I was definitely tempted to play football on Sundays, but before we reached an agreement, the NBA returned to the sands. But I definitely considered it. I still have the jerseys that Jerry and Pete they sent me”.

In 2011, Tony romo he was the quarterback of the Cowboys. Lebron, had he accepted the contract, he would have had to compete against a certain Jason witten for the title as a tight end.

Jason witten became the franchise leader in receiving yards with 12,977 yards; second in scoring with 72, just behind 73 in Dez Bryant who was also in the Cowboys from 2011.

On Seattle maybe he would have had more plays and even fought for the title. Those who lined up like tight ends were Anthony McCoy and Zach Miller. And it’s not that the careers of these players are looked down on, but definitely James I would have had better opportunities: McCoy in six years (2010-2015) he recorded 437 passing yards while Miller from 2011 to 2014, 1,092 were registered.
