PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Patrick Mahomes threw five touchdown passes, including three to Tyreek Hill, and the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles 42-30 on Sunday.
Andy Reid returned to Philadelphia and earned his 100th career win with Kansas City. He became the first head coach in NFL history to win 100 games with two teams. Reid had 140 victories as the Eagles coach, the most in franchise history.
Jalen Hurts had a career-best 387 yards and two touchdowns, but Philadelphia (1-3) was unable to contain the powerful Kansas City offense. The penalties denied the Eagles three touchdowns, who had to settle for field goals three times while visiting the red zone.
The Chiefs (2-2), two-time defending AFC champions, were shaken after losing two straight games, coming in with their first losing record since going 4-5 in 2015.
