Venezia is currently 17th in Serie A. They won only one game (2-1 against Empoli) in seven disputed dates and in total they have five points with a goal difference of -7 (they converted five and received 12).
The 34-year-old goalkeeper was in the sights of Spezia, who saw him as an alternative to Antonio Mirante. Romero has not played an official match since August 10, 2020, the date on which he saved against Copenhagen for the quarterfinals of the Europa League when he was still defending the colors of the Red Devils. In all of 2021 Ole Gunna Solskjaer gave him no minutes.
