Louis Picamoles, forward of France and of Bordeaux Beglis announced his retirement from professional rugby when he turns 36 in February.
Toulouse’s eighth stepped badly, his knee went off and he retired from the playing field, on a stretcher, in great pain.
The third row has 82 matches with the France team’s shirt, including three World Cups, New Zealand 2011, England 2015 and Japan 2019.
At club level, Picamoles played the French Top 14 with Montpellier, Toulouse and Bordeaux, his current club. He also played a Premiership with Northampton Saints in the 16/17 season.
“I’m going to turn 36 in February, my body and my head tell me it’s time,” said Louis Picamoles.
