Bolivia beat Paraguay 4-0 this Thursday, achieved its second consecutive victory and took the air in the South American qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar in a match played at the Hernando Siles stadium.
At 3,650 meters above sea level in La Paz, La Verde took the lead with Rodrigo Ramallo’s goal from outside the area in the 21st minute.
La Albirroja wasted the chance to equalize with a penalty that Antonio Sanabria missed six minutes later, whose shot went over the crossbar.
In the second period, La Verde made it 2-0 in the 53rd minute with a goal from Moisés Villarroel, after an assist from Marcelo Martins.
Víctor Abrego made the final 3-0 in the 84th minute and on 95, when the match was over, Roberto Fernández sentenced.
Paraguay, which adds two games in a row without winning, is still parked with 12 points in the standings, the same as Bolivia reached today with its third win in these qualifiers.
On the next day, on November 11, La Verde will visit Peru and La Albirroja will host Chile.
