The Charlotte Hornets signed guard LiAngelo Ball to an unsecured contract Thursday, paving the way for him to finally sign with his G League team, a source confirmed to ESPN.
Ball, who averaged 9.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 17.4 minutes in five games for the Hornets in the Las Vegas Summer League, is expected to be released from the deal he signed Thursday to join the Greensboro Swarm for next season. from the G League, a source said.
