Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete lived a war against Joet gonzalez in his second defense of the featherweight belt of the OMB and affirmed that the American got to touch it in certain moments of the fight.
“Joet it exceeded my expectations ”, confessed the boxer of the Mexico state. “It was a very strong and even fight. I think there were times when he fell, but he held on. He hooked me up a couple of times and hurt me. It was something super exciting for the audience ”.
Navarrete defeated by unanimous decision by cards of 118-110 and double 116-112 to make the second successful defense of the championship.
The Mexican was the one who dominated the contest connecting the best blows and from very early he did a lot of damage to his right cheekbone.
“It was a close fight, I feel like I hurt him,” said the Mexico state at the end of the confrontation. “I think I was winning. I was surprised by that 118-110 card, but it is what it is. I honestly felt good, he grabbed me with a bang. I’ll go back to the gym, I’ll keep looking for the best, I’ll keep working ”.
